Cleaning FAQ: Madrid

How does the cleaning process work?

For guests staying in Madrid, the booking comes with one complementary cleaning per month (calculated as one free cleaning for every 31 nights of stay). Additional cleanings can be requested but the guest will have to cover the cost.

Cleanings are not automatically scheduled, so it is the responsibility of the guest to request and schedule a cleaning with the Guest Operations team. Cleanings can be scheduled from Monday to Friday for a morning or afternoon session. A cleaning appointment can last between 3 and 4 hours, depending on the size of the apartment.


How do I request a cleaning?

Cleanings can be requested by contacting the Guest Experience team. They will assist you in scheduling the cleaning with our partner cleaning service company.

What is the cost of additional cleaning?

For non-complementary cleanings, the cost of a session is as follows:

  • Home cleaning: EUR 50
  • Linens and towel change: EUR 38
  • Home cleaning + linens and towel change: EUR 88

How far in advance should I schedule a cleaning?

Due to the high number of requests received, we recommend scheduling a cleaning five (5) days in advance to allow us to accommodate your preferences. Note that we tend to have a high volume of appointments scheduled towards the end of the month and this may cause delays in attending to your request.


Do I need to remain in the apartment during the cleaning?

Although we work with a trusted third-party service for the cleaning, we always recommend full caution when there are other people in the apartment. Ukio cannot guarantee that no incidences may occur and will not be held responsible for any losses.

If you need to leave the apartment while the cleaners are around, we recommend that you store all your valuables in a secure and locked area.
